Transfer Station - Booth Attendant Position

The Buxton Transfer Station is seeking applicants for the position of Entry Booth Attendant.

Starting wage is $18 per hour and includes paid holidays and earned paid leave. This is a 24-hour per week position with shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Job Requirements:

• Checking residency status

• Assessing fees for waste disposal

• Processing credit/debit card, check, and coupon payments

  • Involves operating an electronic cash register

• Giving directions and information on recycling, waste disposal, composting, and curbside trash pickup

• Communicate effectively, remain calm and professional in stressful situations, and learn and follow the booth’s standard operating procedures.
